About Us

Shayne Industries Inc. was established by Jay Shane in 1975 in Taiwan, and Cosie Leather Products is a Chinese subsidiary fully owned by Shayne. By late 1988 when it began to shift its production base to Hangzhou City of mainland China, Shayne was already a major exporter of leather garments in Taiwan to the American and European markets. 







Over the last 16 years, from its first mainland factory consisting of 3 production lines, Cosie Leather has witnessed substantial growth and expansion. Today, Cosie has more than 4,000 employees working under the supervision of 10 Taiwanese technicians in its garments, upholstery and tanning divisions, all of which serve exclusively for the international market. 







The garments division is currently running 44 production lines equipped with state-of the-art Japanese machinery, which yield an annual production of 1,200,000 leather garments with a turnover of USD 40 million. Cosie's upholstery division, launched in operation in 1994 with 40 production lines today, is manufacturing 100,000 seats of cowhide and 60,000 seats of fabrics upholstery covers a month with a turnover exceeding USD 50 million.
